The shading is fine it's just that it looks like somebody punched her in the mouth and knocked her teeth out. Her lips are curled in and it looks like sombody punched her and i'm sitting her laughing.

i would say that this is well done and looks very similar to the mlp style. and shading is fine. it really depends on how much shading detail u want to do. if u want to stay in the mlp style on the show or add ur own style to it.
